Synopsis:
Four women joined together by a book club, find themselves on trial for murder. Roman Tate, the husband of Eliza, has not been the charming man everyone presumes him to be. Instead, he's a liar and schemer. The truth begins unfolding during what's supposed to be a promotional book club meeting. During a practice run Anne, Penny, Eliza, and Marguerite find themselves discussing murder. When Roman ends up dead they all point the figure at each other.
My Review:
This was the first book I read outside of my usual reads. I wanted to challenge myself for something different. I'm not giving up on reading new genres, but this book just was too dry for my taste. It wasn't until the last three chapters that I got invested. For the most part, I thought I knew who the killer was. I would've never guessed the killer was who it was. I rated this book three stars based on the killer reveal. Other than that this book was ...eh 😕.
